Parsonage-Turner Syndrome and SARS-CoV-2 Infection
Keywords:
COVID-19, dolor neuropático, Parsonage-Turner.Abstract
Parsonage-Turner syndrome is a rare disease of unknown etiology with a history of viral and bacterial infections, surgery, and vaccination. Therefore, the objective of this presentation was to report a clinical case of this syndrome, clinically and neurophysiological verified, associated with SARS-CoV-2 infection and to conclude that this syndrome should be included in the differential diagnosis of monoplegia’s that occur in patients with COVID-19 infection. Furthermore, early diagnosis will allow for the establishment of appropriate pharmacological and rehabilitation treatment, which will minimize the pain component, the corresponding functional deficit, and its potential sequelae.
